Our 2023 Wrap-Up
It was a year of exploration for APP! We had the opportunity to work with numerous talented artists and are forever grateful to our clients for trusting us to beautify their spaces. We put together a record number of accessories packages and dove into the world of Senior Living art packages. We travelled a lot – Dallas, Nashville, Huntsville, Orlando, Hamburg!
As ever, I am incredibly happy to work with the super talented Sarah Davis and Leslie Lowe and I am really excited about the projects we’ve been crafting for realization in 2024. Thank you to the artists, designers, architects, builders, developers and purchasing agents who put us on the map.
Here’s to a peaceful end to 2023 and inspiring start to 2024!

Our last look book of the year has us focused on interconnectivity. The world has felt so fractured as of late, leaving us searching for those elements that can make us feel connected. The artworks here reflect our relations to humanity, and the natural world surrounding us, counteracting some of the emotions we have felt this past year. We hope you feel the same as you flip through our latest selections.
Case Study #10 | Donna Mintz Custom Commission
Recently we completed a large installation at a private residence here in Atlanta. The home had been in the process of renovation, overseen by designer extraordinaire Mallori Hamilton of Uncommon Studios. She pulled in APP to assist with sourcing some showstopper art for the clients, and we were happy to deliver. We commissioned Donna Mintz, with the assistance of Sandler Hudson Gallery, to create one of her custom gold leaf creations for the dining room.

As the summer draws to a close, our collective sentiments begin to shift. Vibrant, hot days give way to crisp, cool nights. Light shifts, colors fade, and the excitement for a new season sets in. There is a bit of a paradox, however; while we happily anticipate all that the new season brings, we still try to hold onto that sense of life we feel in the warmer months. We invite you to view some selected artworks that have evoked these feelings within us - that bittersweet space where something ends and something new begins.

Our latest look book centers on everything Spring. We can’t help but feel a sense of levity and cheer when viewing these artworks. Nature is the ultimate source of artistic inspiration, and the artists featured here have interpreted it in such unique and varied ways. From works on paper, to sculpture, to murals, these works remind us of the endless possibilities in art. We hope you pull from these pages a renewed sense of optimism, spring-boarding you into a new and colorful season.
Recycled Art!
Hawks x Novelis Recycled Sculpture
We had the great pleasure of contributing once again to the amazing art collection over at State Farm Arena. This time we worked both with the Hawks and Novelis, the world’s largest recycler of aluminum. “Full Court Press,” created by local artist Taylor Means, is a sculpture made up of nearly 404 lbs of upcycled aluminum cups and cans in the shape of the Hawks Logo. Please view the video below to see how this amazing piece came together!
Case Study #9 | Peter Ferrari Mural at Mabra Law Firm
We have been thrilled to work with Ronnie Mabra on the further development of the already amazing art collection he has amassed at his Blandtown law office. One recent commission we assisted with was a custom mural by Atlanta artist Peter Ferrari. The piece pays homage to the work Ronnie does, and serves to enlighten and empower his employees on a daily basis.

Case Study #8 | Voco Sarasota Custom Mural
In this quickie of a case study, we wanted to give a glimpse into how we developed and executed an amazing custom mural for the Voco Sarasota Hotel’s restaurant and bar. Artist Kipper Millsap used IHG’s brand standards, particularly the avian theme, as a jumping off point, conscientiously developing it into something that felt on-brand for both the hotel and the artist. To keep with the hotel’s timeline, artist Kayleen Scott was brought in to install the mural, using a fully planned out template made by Kipper. The result speaks for itself! A memorable and “Instagrammable” moment for customers and the hotel."

The new year is always such a transitional time, invoking thoughts of beginnings, change, updates, newness. Certain pieces that have caught our eye lately are no different, providing us with a fresh perspective on what art can be, redefining boundaries and showcasing new possibilities.
Whether sculpture, painting, photograph, or ceramic, each of the pieces here stretches our eye outside of the status quo. Embroidery isn’t always for grandmothers and handkerchiefs; pottery is not always a perfectly round vase thrown on a wheel. Symmetry, color, and composition are often thrown off kilter, subsequently provoking us to question just what we really need to find balance and harmony.
In 2023 we are welcoming this disruption, using it as a catalyst to explore more and experience concepts previously unknown to us. We hope you are granted with the same feeling as you peruse our latest inspiration board, and are left with a renewed feeling of possibility and novelty for the upcoming year.
Our 2022 Wrap-Up
Reflecting on the year 2022, I am so very grateful to work with artists and design creatives. I love that our work involves transforming spaces, like the corridor at Mabra Law firm where Atlanta artist Peter Ferrari painted a vision of beauty and a bold statement for Justice.
I’m in awe of how we transform materials, like how local artist Taylor Means did with Novelis, where he repurposed used aluminum cans into a gorgeous Atlanta Hawks logo for State Farm Arena.
And I adore working with the ever-talented Sarah Davis, who makes accessories fit intentionally into spaces, and designs the most fabulous custom art pieces, such as the artwork she made for The Interlock in the west side of Atlanta, giving life and modernity to historic local photographs.

State Farm 100 Year Anniversary Gift
APP has had an amazing relationship with the Atlanta Hawks over the years, providing artwork for the team’s home at State Farm Arena. When the Hawks were considering a gift for State Farm’s 100 year anniversary, they knew it had to be something meaningful, unique, and unexpected. APP was honored to be tasked with developing a special installation piece with the Hawks Studio for the State Farm headquarters in Sandy Springs.
APP engaged numerous local Atlanta artists, along with Atlanta Hawks employees and children at the State Farm Good Neighbor Clubs, to design the balls. Each artist was assigned a basketball to personalize in their style, and commemorate the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm’s community impact. Certain balls were designed to represent and highlight key moments in their joint giveback efforts, from the Hawk’s Season of Giving celebration to the Arena’s Zero Waste initiative.
One hundred balls were designed for the installation, representing each year of State Farm’s history. With such a large undertaking, APP enlisted the help of local artist and Atlanta native Taylor Means to assist with the organization and assembly of the installation. Taylor not only worked out the logistics of the piece, but personally designed and created many of the balls as well out of his studio in Avondale.
Other Atlanta artists, including Jermaine Clark, Kyle “Black Cat Tips” Brooks, Lillian Blades, Stacie Rose, and Zerric Clinton, to name a few, contributed their own unique artistic styles to the balls. The combined grouping is a kaleidoscope of color and texture, representative of the rich relationship and collaborative efforts between the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm over the years. We here at APP are truly honored to have been a part of such an impactful project, one that will be enjoyed and treasured for years to come.
